In his role as European Marketing Director for Ebookers | Orbitz Bas managed a nine digit marketing budget across thirteen countries. Other roles: CMO and Deputy CEO of Index Ventures’ OZON.RU, Eastern Europe’s largest e-commerce company; Vice President Marketing for Gloria Jeans Corporation, Russia’s leading vertically integrated fast fashion company; CMO for, Russia’s leading fashion startup funded by the Samwer Brothers’ Rocket Internet incubator; Digital Marketing Director, Russia Nr.1 Shopping Club.

Bas is the founder of digital marketing and e-business consultancy with presence in Netherlands, UK, Russia, Ukraine, which over a number of years consulted and executed recommendations for such European companies as: ReedBusiness, Sanoma International (Publishing), TNT Post, Royal Ahold and Unigro (Food Retail), Randstad (HR), Hyatt Hotels, DHU (Pharma), Skype, Elite Models, Borjomi (FMCG), and Postcode Lottery (Gaming). Consultation topics: marketing innovation, digital media buying, market- and consumer research, LBO setup, e-business, digital media and e-commerce.

Bas studied Law and Russian in the Netherlands (University of Amsterdam), E-commerce and Internet Marketing in Australia (University of Technology Sydney). Bas is fond of writing and learning languages (he knows nine).
